Now just what was law school like again? I think I blocked some of it out.
Okay, I’m a glutton for punishment (or for saying I’m going to do things and not doing them, or for starting things and not finishing them). New novel starts tonight.
Man, I can’t believe we’re probably going to lose our smoking ban. I really wish people would pay more attention.
Not only did we pitch a shutout in this week’s game, but we also never punted. Leading receiver? Brian Hartline.
Did I already say that maybe I’m going to try to write a novel again this year? Make sure I really do it this time. Maybe I’ll write it about law school.
Why don’t you ever see anyone on television having a serious, intelligent conversation about who ought to be president? You can hardly tell the difference between sports and politics (although I give some thought every year to who ought to win the World Series). Presumably there’s a difference, and some people are more qualified to be president than others beyond simply who happens to be getting the most money or leading in the polls.
But instead of giving us some idea of who’s out there and why they might be a good choice, the media basically just tells us who’s the two people we’ll have to choose from in two years.
What about a senior professor at a major school of government, like a David Gergen? Or a hyper-respected foreign policy expert like Dick Lugar? I mean, can anyone really explain to me why Hillary Clinton could possibly be considered the best candidate for president? Because she’s electable? Because bad people hate her? Because she’s the wife of Bill Clinton?
Would somebody please save this country?
By the way, with Strickland safely ahead, I think I’m going to vote for Peirce instead. Strickland is a blowhard with all of his ethanol crap.
Don’t have to work tomorrow…get to stay up late! Sleep in! Screw around! Hooray!!!
Why am I not a public, urban high school physics teacher right now? This’ll give you some idea.
When I go to my parents’ houses, I realize how loud it is living here around campus. Either it’s loud outside, or I turn on fans and stuff to out noise the noise with white noise. And then it’s noisy in here anyway.
In the suburbs, it’s quiet and comfortable and clean and there’s lots of room and nice furniture. But it costs a lot to live there. I think probably a lot of people already know this. But I’m just telling ya.
I had a dream last night that I had to go back and take high school classes, even as I was working for the schools. Then I remembered that I actually had a high school and college diploma and decided to go home and take a nap. And when I woke up, I realized that I had been taking a nap.
