50 Cent sucks
I’m not going to judge his music or any other aspect of his life, or even that he decides to pick public fights with other artists for no reason (other than maybe for publicity), but kicking someone out of your crew because they won’t partake of your idiotic beef is inexcusably lame.
Hate and anger are natural human feelings (and, in my opinion, failings). But they aren’t virtues. Everybody feels these emotions sometimes, and you ought not be condemned for it, but on the other hand, you certainly shouldn’t be punished for not feeling hate and anger.

50 Cent is very well marketed. And he got stabbed 77 times in the ear with a butter knife, or whatever. But I don’t think he’s talented. At all. Somewhere around 1996 there popped up this whole breed of guys who were very well marketed but couldn’t even rhyme to the beat. I’ve been told it’s just the style, but it’s pretty sad if you can’t even rhyme as well as Vanilla Ice.
I’d put Ludacris near or at the top of the current crop. He’s fast, funny and intelligent.

YEA, GET A BRAIN, MORANS!

Ahh….so the best rapper is the one with the most money. So if Bill Gates launched a career as “MC Win XP”, he would be the hottest on the planet.
March 15th, 2005 at 5:11 pm
To the fans of 50: what pithy remarks you have. Is it possible to express you admiration (or even distain) without the use of the “F” word, or other curse word?
To Mike: according to the mind-set of some, Bill Gates would “have” to be the most popular rapper of all times (so long Sean Puffy Combs). But I think the name “PC Win XP” has a better ring (but this is just my opinion).

I love this.

Realest? Must I remind you, young man, of what happens When Keepin’ It Real Goes Wrong?
March 16th, 2005 at 10:56 pm
Lack of talent speaks for itslef… I use steroids (and need an orthodontist), therfore I am!! Love the lisp.
March 16th, 2005 at 10:58 pm
Is realest a word. The rap world is sooo illeterate. Hey, but that be cool. So “Car Wash”
March 17th, 2005 at 2:32 am
Ummm all I have to say is that 50 doesnt even deserve to be put in the same sentence as THE KING: NAS. The only artists that 50 deserves to be beefing with are people like brittany spears you know POP STARS on his level! HAHA NAS WILL LYRICALLY DESTROY 50! AND YA”LL THAT DOUBT JUST WAIT YOU’LL BE QUITE when it’s all said and done. Bunch of MTV idioling kids!!
PEACE TO ALL YA’LL NAS FANS
March 17th, 2005 at 1:55 pm
To all of the 50 lovers of the world:stop watching mtv for once. Think for yourselves. The whole G unit crew is terrible except for Lloyd Banks. His freestyle’s are really something to hear. My 14 year old sister and all her friends just went to go get the massacre, lol.
March 19th, 2005 at 6:58 pm
I have to object… I must say that 50 cent has absolutely no talent. I think his actions are simply barbaric! His “rhymes” are so innapropriate, especially in the extremely vulgar song, Candy Shop. He is corrupting the nation’s impressionable youth. You people must try opening your minds to the great composers of the 17th century, such as Johannes Sebastian Bach, and Ludwig von Beethtoven. I am shocked and appauled at all of you!
March 20th, 2005 at 3:41 pm
I agree, I don’t see why people like him? His music isn’t that great.
March 22nd, 2005 at 5:00 am
50 Cent is simply put a true piece of trash. All of his lyrics are EXTREMELY weak, and the only reason he has any fame is because of his association w/ Dre and Em. Since when does getting shot at qualify as being a good hip hop artist? Artists such as Talib Kweli, Common, Youngblood Brass Band(check them out if you haven’t!-www.youngbloodbrassband.com/site/index.html), and Nas are REAL hip hop artists. If you claim you like hip hop, and don’t listen to or even know of these artists… then you might want to reconsider your musica tastes and definition of the genre.

All I want to know is: how are his Chocolate Salty Balls?
March 23rd, 2005 at 10:50 am
I haven’t really been reading all these comments too closely. Will someone please let me know if anyone posts something really beyond the pale? I need to come up with other blog topics that will inspire such entertaining flame wars.
March 24th, 2005 at 12:09 pm
Oh my god, so someone left this Massacre CD on my desk so I am listening to it now. This has got to be the worst album I have ever heard. 50 cent has no talent what so ever. His voice sucks, he can’t rhyme, and his skills are weak. Just listening to him, reminds me of a 10 year old who is just learning how to rap. 50 cent, you suck so bad, get out of the music biz… you have no talent at all….
March 25th, 2005 at 12:28 pm
This whole comment thing is one of the funniest things i have read in a long time! My favorite is when mizerk says
“Kill all the s*** talking, unless you can say something valid, and in person.”
Since you’re in person and everything, unlike them…
Also, the guy who posted trying to make “a white person” sound black and “a black person” sound intelligent, if you’re going for intelligent, learn how to spell. Keep up the nice blog, Mike, and to everyone else, keep up this debate with an intellectual capacity of a couple of 5 year olds!
March 25th, 2005 at 2:42 pm
I agree that rap has gotten too much attention, there are other good genres, try reggae and alternative. I also agree 50 cent is getting too much attention when he shouldn’t. U can see how he copies other artist styles. He starts beef with Ja Rule just to sing like him, Also on his massacre cd A baltimor Love thing is a story told from the prepective of heroin, Nas was the first to do something like that with a Gun. 50 starts conflict with other artist just so he can copy their style.
March 25th, 2005 at 6:28 pm
The way human fecies flows through drain pipes flows better then 50 Cent.
March 30th, 2005 at 4:51 pm
Just out of curiosity, those of you who enjoy rap music, what other types of music do you listen to? I’m talking anything but mainstream; classical, classic rock, punk, what have you. Or do most people that enjoy rap keep it tuned constantly on the rap station? Just probing.

50 cent is the best raper ever
March 31st, 2005 at 12:35 pm
Dear Mumber One Fan (or Missouri One Fan):
Best “raper” ever? Best comment ever.

who is 50 cent?
April 2nd, 2005 at 7:06 pm
Just curious to see what type of response’s this comment arises.
To all that trully believe that 50cent g-unit chingy cassidy nelly and your other maintstream aritsit are talented. It would be safe to assume that every indevidual knows and understands the “old school rap and hip hop” like Biggie Tupac Rahkim Krs1 big daddy kane talib kweli along with reasonable doubt jay-z ice cube and the list continues however it does not extend to the artist that currently demolish the credibility and respect of the real rap/hip-hop.
Also ase if you havent had an opportunity to listen to some of the artist that are listed please use the time that your currently using listening to 50 chingy, or what have you. Thanks for reading this cant wait to see the responses.

Fitty is like the coin that bares his name; his big, he’s shiny, and he’s got a picture of JFK on his face. Oh, and he rarely is accepted in vending machines.

Mr. Latino Heet:
“Don’t B coming here?” Hootiewhat? This is my website. I didn’t particularly intend for it to become a 50 Cent discussion board. But as long as I’m in charge, people can come here and say whatever they damn well please, thank you very much.
JN Sizzle:
Dat’s the straight-up troof, son. Whateva.

50: You can find me in the club, bottle full of bub
Bis:
Can’t you see what I’m spittin’? Can’t you hear the difference?
Compared to me you’re energetically inefficient
You need 10 times the enzymes to process one of my rhymes
Which one is making the kids stupid…er?

July 4th, 2005 at 10:56 pm
ok i can see your point. you have your own opinion and i respect that. but what i was trying to say is that lyrically nas is better and so is jadakiss. if your talking about money-wise then your right, 50 is more successful. but i dont care about 50’s success. just because he’s a successful rapper doesnt mean his rhymes are hott. to me his rhymes are trash compared to the poetic styles of nas. i think nas, jada, shyne, and cassidy all got him. the reason alot of people like 50 is just beacuse his songs have hot beats. im not sure if you know but the candy shop beat was originally fat joe’s. to me that just proves that he is running out of ideas. in conclusion, i stand strong with my opinion. 50 CENT HAS BECOME TALENTLESS.
July 5th, 2005 at 5:13 pm
no talent at all
July 7th, 2005 at 12:12 pm
yeah i agree wit jerry no talent at all

yup yup
July 13th, 2005 at 5:28 pm
50 cent is the real life CB4. Dr. Dre is cool but 50 cent is just a gimmick. The only reason he’s famous is because Sony spends millions of dollars promoting him as “the real deal”. They take a buck-toothed simp like 50 and pump him up with steroids just to sell records to white kids.
July 20th, 2005 at 3:10 am

I’m getting a little bored of moderating such a lengthy 50 Cent discussion. I think I’ll give you all a week or so to get in your last word, and then I’ll close off comments.
July 25th, 2005 at 5:44 pm
holler man dnt be dissing 50 he is bare class
July 26th, 2005 at 2:01 pm
Mainly what I can’t stand about rap artists is that they come hard in there first album then get softer and softer as they drop more albums. 50 cent is straying down that path each time with songs like candy shop and little bit. The same thing with Ja Rule who used to be a respectable with his first album but corny and sappy with each next album that he dropped
July 26th, 2005 at 2:03 pm
im on 50’s jock every hour on the hour

Okay…202 responses, that’s enough. You can go talk about 50 Cent elsewhere. Not that most of you said anything interesting.
